Your adventure begins very early with a private transfer from your hotel in Cusco to the train station in Ollantaytambo.

You will travel on the Vistadome panoramic train to kilometer 104, the starting point of the trek. From here, you will begin a guided hike in private service, allowing you to progress at your own pace, enjoy the scenery, and receive personalized explanations.

During the tour, you will visit:

  • Chachabamba
  • Wiñay Wayna

After approximately 5 to 6 hours of hiking, you will reach Inti Punku, from where you will have your first panoramic view of Machu Picchu.

Then you will descend to the citadel for a private guided tour, exploring the most important sectors with your expert guide.

Finally, you will descend by bus to Aguas Calientes and take the train back to Ollantaytambo, followed by a private transfer to Cusco.

It’s important to note that the Inca Trail is closed during the month of February due to maintenance, conservation work, and weather conditions. During this period, trekking is not possible; however, there are alternative routes to Machu Picchu that can be completed without any issues.

You’ll find restrooms along the route, although they are basic and located at specific points.

The return to Cusco generally takes place between 6:20 PM and 7:00 PM, depending on the train schedule. The train journey takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, followed by a 2-hour road transfer from the station to your hotel in Cusco.

The exact arrival time may vary depending on the train assigned, but everything is coordinated to ensure your return is comfortable, safe, and seamless after your visit to Machu Picchu.
