Today you can choose between two experiences:
Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca)
Rainbow Mountain, also known as Vinicunca, is one of Peru’s most breathtaking destinations. The trek involves a challenging hike through high Andean landscapes, surrounded by mountains, glaciers, and local communities. Upon reaching the summit, you’ll appreciate its characteristic natural mosaic of colors, a result of the soil’s mineral composition, offering one of the most iconic and photographed views in the country.
Palcoyo
Palcoyo is a more accessible and peaceful alternative to Vinicunca, ideal for those who prefer a shorter hike with less physical exertion. During the trek, you can appreciate not just one, but several colorful mountains, as well as a unique stone forest. Its wide-open and less crowded landscape allows you to more calmly enjoy the natural beauty of the Andes and its unique geological formations.
Both options offer spectacular scenery in the Andean mountain range.
